Today our dear children we will learn about one of the symbols in Islam, Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyya the son of Ali ibn Abi Talib who is the cousin of the Messenger of Allah and the husband of his daughter Fatima, as he is the son of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) from anther woman not Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) and he is a brother of both Hassan and Hussein (may Allah be pleased with them).
Who is Muhammad Ibn Al-hanafiyya
Muhammad Ibn-Alhanafiyya was born at the end of the caliphate of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may God be pleased with him), his father is the great companion Ali bin Abi Talib (may God be pleased with him) the fourth of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs and his mother is Khawla bint Jaafar from Bani Hanifa, got married to Sayyidna Ali after the death of his wife Fatima daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him), Muhammad Ibn al-Hanafiyya is the brother of Hassan and Hussein from the father side and he is the best child of Ali bin Abi Talib after Hassan and Hussein, he was similar to his father in science, worship, courage, strength and eloquence.
Muhammad Ibn Alhanafiyya is one of the heroes in Islam
It is said that a king of Romans sent to Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) two men from his army, one of whom is claimed to be the strongest of Romans and the other the longest.
When people were gathered, Muawiyah said, “Who comes to this strong man?”
Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyya was brought.
So he overcame him by raising him up, lifting in the air and then throwing him to the ground, Muawiyah was happy for that.

His situation with Abdullah bin Zubair and Abdullah bin Marwan
Muhammad Ibn Al-hanafiyya
Abd al-Malik bin Marwan wanted to take over the caliphate, so people of the Levant pledged allegiance to him.
People of Iraq and people of Hijaz did not pledge allegiance to him, but they pledged allegiance to Abdullah bin Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him).
Ruling of Iraq and Hijaz became for Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him).
Abd al-Malik bin Marwan ruled rest of the Muslim countries.
Abdullah bin al-Zubayr sent to Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyya asking to pledge allegiance to him as people of Hijaz did.
He told him that he would pledge allegiance to whom the word of Muslims would be gathered on.
When Abd al-Malik bin Marwan knew about this, he hosted him in the Levant, honored him, and then asked to pledge allegiance to him.
But he also told him that he would pledge allegiance to whom the word of Muslims would be gathered on.
Al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf al-Thaqafi defeated Abdullah bin al-Zubayr and people after that pledged allegiance to Abd al-Malik bin Marwan.
Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyya pledged allegiance to him and Abd al-Malik wrote to him with the covenant and safety.
He sent to al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf al-Thaqafi instructing him to glorify and honor Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyya.
Lessons learned from the story

- Companions were keen to raise their children on courage, noble morals and high matters.
- Muslims have surpassed the infidels in everything since ancient times.
- If there is a dispute between two Muslim communities, they must be reconciled.
- If one Muslim sect wrongs another Muslim community, we must stand with the oppressed community.
- Not to violate the group of Muslims and be careful to gather under one ruler.
- Love and glorify people of the Messenger of Allah, house (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him).
