The story about imposition of prayer for children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Prophet<\/a> (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) tells us how the five daily prayers were imposed during the journey of Israa and Meraaj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says: “He revealed to me what he had revealed, and imposed fifty prayers on me every day and night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I went down until I came to Moses, and he said, “What has your Lord imposed on your nation?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I said, “Fifty prayers every day and night.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, “Your nation cannot bear that, and I have afflicted the children of Israel and their experience, so return to your god, and request him relieves your nation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I returned and said, “my god has eased on my nation and degraded five prayers, returned back to Moses.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Moses said, “What have you done?” I said, “degraded me five prayers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, ” your nation cannot bear it, return back to your god and ask Him for a relief.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I returned and said, “my god has eased on my nation and degraded me five prayers, so I still returned back between my god and Moses then degraded me five, until Allah imposed five prayers on me every day and night.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: “O Muhammad, i don’t change what i say , they are five prayers for every ten prayers they are fifty prayers and those who are good and did not do it were written for him well and their work was written ten times as much, and those who are bad and did not do it weren’t written on him, their work was written one bad.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I returned to Moses and told him, and he said, “Return back to your god and ask him relief for a relief to your nation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I said, “I have returned back to my god until I have been ashamed.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Haafiz Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it was the night of the Israa, a year and a half before the Hijra, Allah imposed on His prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) the five prayers, and separated their conditions, pillars and related things after that, little by little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a bedouin came to Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, what has Allah imposed on me? he said ” five prayers every day and night ” said ” do i have anything else? he said” No unless you obey.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
